PENANG – The Ministry of Health here has instructed GUH Circuit Industry to halt production until Aug. 21 after workers tested positive for Covid-19, according to reports.

The temporary closure is expected to cause a delay in deliveries for several orders.

In the meantime, the printed circuit board fabricator is deep cleaning its factory and hostels.

“Management is currently in discussions with the affected customers for the rescheduling of the delivery dates for those orders and expects there will not be any adverse impact to the group,” the company said. “The group expects to increase production with extended shifts upon re-commencement of manufacturing activities.”

The company does not expect a negative impact on revenue or earnings for the fiscal year.
