TAOYUAN CITY, TAIWAN – The fire that hit Unimicron’s plant here Feb. 4 was the second fire to affect the factory in the last four months, according to reports.

The blaze at the PCB and IC substrate manufacturing complex, where the BT substrate plant experienced damage from a fire in October, is raising concerns about the plant’s safety management.

Yesterday’s fire may be detrimental to the already short supply of components and materials, say reports.
