SUWONG-SI, SOUTH KOREA – Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported fourth quarter revenue of KRW 2.1 trillion (US$1.9 billion), up 17% year-over-year.

Operating income for the period was KRW 252.7 billion, an increase of 73% compared to the fourth quarter of 2019.

The company attributes growth to MLCC, package PCB, and OLED rigid-flex PCB segments because of 5G.

For full year 2020, Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported sales of KRW 8.2 trillion, an increase of 6% compared to 2019. Operating income for the year was KRW 829.1 billion, up 12%.

The company's PCB business posted revenues of KRW 557.9 billion in the fourth quarter, up 23% sequentially.
