AMBEGAON BUDRU, PUNE, INDIA -- Just days after a blaze consumed a printed circuit board shop in Taiwan, another one decimated a manufacturing plant here.
Firefighters were called to Shogini Technoarts in Ambegaon Budru around 5 am Thursday and took more than seven hours to completely put out the blaze. No injuries or casualties are reported of yet.
Authorities have not determined the cause of fire, but said it might have been due to a chemical material.
Shogini Technoarts was founded in 1979 and is said to be one of the largest manufacturers of printed circuit boards in India.
Last weekend, a fire at Chin Poon's PCB plant in Taoyuan killed two workers and five firefighters.
