HSINCHU, TAIWAIN -- Machvision reported consolidated revenues nearly doubled in the fourth quarter on higher demand for AOI for flex circuit boards.

Revenues for the quarter rose 99% to NT$247 million ($7.68 million), boosted by a strong December and setting a company record for the period.

For the year, the company reported revenues of NT$805 million ($24.9 million) for 2016. It was an annual sales record for the company, which was founded in 1998.

Machvision develops AOI equipment for multilayer, HDI and flex circuits, IC substrates, and wafer inspection.

While not providing a revenue outlook, Machvision said the flex PCB sector remains strong.
