CHANDLER, AZ – Isola Group president and CEO Ray Sharpe is retiring, the company announced today.

Sharpe will stay with Isola until his successor has joined the firm.

The board has retained a search firm to guide the process of finding Isola's next CEO.

Sharpe has led Isola since 2004, when the laminates company was acquired by Texas Pacific Group from Rutgers. He was previously CEO of Cookson Electronics for 15 years, and president of Alpha Metals before that.

"Ray has been a very strong leader since Isola's establishment in 2004. Isola is now positioned as the leading supplier of high-performance materials for the printed circuit board industry," said Kevin Burns, chairman of Isola's board of directors.

Isola also announced the retirement of its executive VP and CFO F. Gordon Bitter.

Donald Colvin, a member of Isola's board of directors and the former CFO of ON Semiconductor and Caesars Entertainment, has been named interim CFO.
