WALLINGFORD, CT – Amphenol reported first quarter 2015 net sales of $1.33 billion, up 6.5% year-over-year.
Net income for the quarter was $181.8 million, an increase of 13.8% compared to the first quarter of 2014.
Operating income was $260.2 million, up 12.1% year-over-year.
“We are pleased to report an excellent start to 2015, with sales of $1.327 billion, up 7% in US dollars and 11% in local currencies,” said Amphenol president and CEO R. Adam Norwitt. “Sales growth was driven primarily by strength in the automotive, industrial, IT data com and mobile device markets.”
The firm acquired Invotec Circuits in late February, with annual sales of approximately $35 million.
