Tampa, FL – Intercept Technology has launched an enhanced bidirectional link between its Mozaix schematic and Pantheon layout design applications and Agilent’s ADS software. Using Agilent’s enhanced ADS Board Link data transfer format, the development is said to streamline PCB integration with greater flexibility of data transfer and easier management of data integrity.

This bidirectional capability utilizes Agilent’s ABL format to import schematic and layout information, in tandem with a library of ADS models in Intercept format. The combined information is imported into Intercept’s Mozaix schematic, and then annotated from Mozaix to Pantheon PCB/Hybrid/RF layout. Layout changes can be annotated back to the Mozaix schematic, and then exported to ADS for further analysis. The bidirectional link also includes the ability for fully intelligent layout blocks with hierarchy to be passed seamlessly between the products, allowing simulated circuits to be reused any number of times in the layout.

"Agilent’s new Board Link format offers a more streamlined and dynamic integration with PCB design environments,” says Dale Hanzelka, director of sales for Intercept. “We have been working closely with the Agilent team to ensure success for our customers and for the needs of the industry.”
