BANNOCKBURN, IL -- The final ballot for the latest revision of IPC-2581, the standard for electronics data transfer, is due out by the end of this month.
The task group charged with writing the standard met last week to update the draft document and discuss other items being proposed.
The revised schedule calls for a ballot to be circulated to task group members and interested parties on June 30. Voters would have 30 days to review and ratify the proposed standard. During the interim final stage, voters can reject the document only for technical reasons.
If there are no votes to reject the draft, it could be published soon after the July 31 ballot deadline.
