WILSONVILLE, OR -- Mentor Graphics chairman and chief executive Dr. Walden C. Rhines will keynote the 16^th annual CPDA (Collaborative Product Development Associates) PLM Road Map Conference next week.

The event takes place Sept. 22 at 9 AM EST in Detroit. The presentation will also be broadcast via a live simulcast webinar.

Dr. Rhines' talk will center on a new model-driven development methodology that supports emerging design requirements including electromechanical systems integration, integrated design flow, high-performance designs, and costs and schedule control. Using the automotive industry as his basis, Rhines will describe how the escalating electronic complexity of automobiles calls for a paradigm shift with the adoption of a systems approach to designing, verifying and integrating electronics and software components in a networked environment.
