LE SEGUNDO, CA – With a high-frequency focus, AWR enters its twelfth consecutive year of revenue growth, posting record gains for the 2009 fiscal year that ended March 31. AWR is a privately held company that specializes in high-frequency EDA tools. Detailed financial information has not been made available.
In December, AWR acquired Simulation Technology and Applied Research Inc. (STAAR), a three-dimensional electromagnetic (3D EM) software developer. AWR reportedly achieved record revenue levels before the added contribution of the STAAR acquisition.
Fourth-quarter revenue set a company record for a single quarter, and there is an order backlog entering the 2010 fiscal year, reports AWR.
AWR tools support the design of some of the electronics industry’s fastest growing market segments, including 3G wireless transceiver modules for smart phones.
