WILSONVILLE, OR -- Mentor Graphics announced preliminary results for the quarter ending January 31, 2009, expecting revenue of $243 million, 10% lower than November projections.  On a non-GAAP basis, the company expects to be profitable for the fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year 2009.

On a GAAP basis, the company expects to report a loss for the year, driven by non-cash charges. These results are preliminary and subject to adjustments and completion of the annual audit by independent auditors.
