SAN FRANCISCO -
Ansys plans to
enter into the EDA software market by acquiring Ansoft for $832 million ($32.50 per share) in a cash-and-stock deal. Ansys shares were down 10.1% and Ansoft shares were up 11% on the news. The deal is expected to close by the end of June.
