WILSONVILLE, OR – Mentor Graphics Corp., producer of electronic-design automation software, said it has acquired Sierra Design Automation for $90 million in cash and stock.

Mentor said the purchase will enable the company to integrate physical design, back-end verification and other processes. Mentor will continue to sell Sierra's products.

No other terms of the purchase were disclosed.
