ANTHEM, AZ - A leading developer of land pattern generation software has rebranded its flagship product.

Saying Library Expert Professional has outgrown its name, PCB Libraries is now calling the tool Library Expert Enterprise.

The change "better reflects the advanced features it currently has, the new features planned for 2018, and its capacity to provide enterprise-level library solutions," the firm said in a press release.

"The rebranding is a natural step based on past, current, and planned development, and how the Library Expert is used in organizations by our customers, said PCB Libraries CEO Tom Hausherr. "We are extremely proud of the success of all versions of Library Expert and our on-line library content of over one million free parts."

Among the upgrades PCB Libraries has made to the software over the years include automation for 3D STEP model creation, a module for non-standard packages, new standard component families and schematic symbol support. The tool performs its calculations based on the IPC-7351 standard. A free version is available here.
