VELIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, FRANCE -- Dassault Systèmes today announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of CST - Computer Simulation Technology for 220 million euros ($243 million).

Dassault Systèmes will integrate CST solutions into its portfolio of PLM and related software tools.

EM simulation is an essential part of the development of connected products to ensure the performance, reliability and safety of their interactions with their surrounding environment. With the integration of CST, Dassault will offer full spectrum EM simulation of autonomous cars, connected homes, medical equipment, wearable electronics and other smart objects, the company said.

The deal was first announced by Dassault on July 21. Dassault paid cash for CST, and transaction will be immediately accretive to Dassault's earnings.

CST’s 2015 revenue was about 47 million euros ($52 million).
