PITTSBURGH -- Ansys reported fourth-quarter revenue fell1% to $251.6 million, as currency fluctuations lowered the results from what would have been a 4% gain.

Quarterly sales bookings showed strong improvement, exceeding the revenue growth rate, and contributed to a record total deferred revenue and backlog balance of $504 million."
The EDA software company's sales for the year grew 8% in constant currency terms and 1% otherwise to a record $942.8 million. Net income was $252.5 million, down 1% from 2014.
