Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) film reportedly maintains dielectric characteristics, flame retardancy and chemical robustness of polymer, while remaining thermally resistant at 40°C higher than conventional films.

Resists deformation and is dimensionally stable near melting point. Is an engineering plastic that offers electrical insulation. Is crystalline, with a melting point of 280°C. Testing to 250°C confirmed film does not deform. Has coefficient of thermal expansion in thickness direction of 98 ppm/°C.
