Family still is of great relevance within Peters. So Britta Schwartz, grand-daughter of company founder Werner Peters and daughter of the current managing directors Brigitte and Ralf Schwartz, and her life partner Benjamin Alfes got married. The young couple will bear as their common name “Alfes”.
Britta and Benjamin Alfes have been working in the Kempen family-owned company Lackwerke Peters for some three and a half years. For more than 50 years Peters is known for their coatings for the manufacture of printed circuit boards and the protection of assembled printed circuit boards/electronic components.
Britta and Benjamin Alfes spent one year in the Peters Shanghai location and gathered valuable knowledge in Asia which is the worldwide largest production site for electronic products. Their experience from abroad will be a good enrichment for the Headquarters in Kempen.
Britta Alfes is responsible for the Supply Chain Management whereas Benjamin Alfes focuses on the production departments Simultaneously they both familiarise themselves with the management tasks of the globally acting company.
"They bring their own ideas and management tools and talk the language of the next generation“, says Managing Director Ralf Schwartz. Thus the “wisdom of the old” will be supplemented with international courses plus fresh impressions and a precious whole will be generated.
On 14 August 2020 both Britta and Benjamin Alfes were granted power of attorney for the Peters Group, acknowledgment and more responsibility at the same time.
Also in future the electronic industry can rely on Peters, being a strong and sustainably acting partner. Next to established and well-known coatings the lacquer expert from the Lower Rhine area offers numerous innovative and high-efficient product ideas - both for the production of printed circuit boards and also for the protection of assemblies.
