WASHINGTON – The US International Trade Commission said its preliminary findings point to harm to US producers from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin imported from five countries.

In a statement, the ITC said it found resin from Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan was sold "in the United States at less than fair value."

The US Commerce Department is expected to issue its final determination on Sept. 17.

PET, also known as polyester, is used for some types of flexible printed circuits.
