STONEY CREEK, ON, CANADA -- Dynamic & Proto Circuits, a longtime PCB supplier here, is shutting down at the end of next month.

The fabricator has begun notifying customers of its intention to close Feb. 28.

"After over 40 years in business it is difficult to deliver this message to our valued customers," general manager Carl Hewitt said in a letter dated yesterday. Customer orders will be fulfilled until the last day in February, he added.

The company was founded in 1974 as Dynamic Circuits, and added a quickturn division called Proto Circuits in 1979. In 1987, the companies merged as Dynamic & Proto Circuits. It moved into its current plant in 1996.
