SAN JOSE — North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted three-month moving average orders of $1.41 billion worldwide in July, up 17.1% from a year ago. 

Worldwide bookings were down 2.8% lower than the revised June figures, SEMI said. 

 The book-to-bill ratio was 1.07, meaning $107 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month.

The three-month average worldwide billings in July was $1.32 billion, down 0.7% from the revised June number and up 9.4% from July 2013.

The SEMI book-to-bill is a ratio of three-month moving averages of worldwide bookings and billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Billings and bookings figures are in millions of U.S. dollars.
