FRANKFURT, GEMANY -- German electronics companies reported October orders rose 9.1% over the same month last year.

Domestic orders rose by 7.7% in October, foreign orders by 10.4%. Customers from the eurozone ordered 12.3% more than a year ago, while and orders from third countries rose 9.2%. In the first 10 months of the current year, total orders were 10.2% above the previous year's level.

"The dynamic development continued seamlessly at the beginning of the fourth quarter," says Dr. Andreas Gontermann, ZVEI chief economist.
