TAIPEI – Unitech Printed Circuit Board president Hsu Cheng-Hung has stepped down in response to the fatal accident that occurred at the firm’s Yilan plant, according to reports.

Unitech vice president Hung Hsien-Ching has taken over as president.

On June 26, five workers accidentally fell into a wastewater pool while conducting sediment cleanup work. Four of them died.

Unitech reportedly provides PCBs for the iPhone, MacBook and iPad devices.

The firm posted record August revenues of $48.4 million. Revenues for the first eight months of 2017 were $348.8 million, up 35.9% year-over-year.
