NEW DELHI – Hero Electronix has acquired Spectrum Integrated Technologies, a deal that includes its PCB fabrication unit, for an undisclosed sum, according to published reports.

Tessolve, Hero’s semiconductor venture, will take over a SpectrumIT PCB fab unit in Malaysia.

“These acquisitions are not of high value,” said Hero Electronix founder-director Ujjwal Munjal, according to reports. “They are more to do with enhancing our capability.”

Tessolve is now able to offer chip design to testing and PCB engineering through embedded systems development, he said. The deal is expected to add about 10% to 15% to Tessolve’s revenue, he added.

Hero expects 20% growth this year.
