NANSHA, CHINA -- Arkema will expand production of 3D printable resins in China to meet higher demand for electronics and 3D-printed applications.

The chemicals manufacturer will increase capacity at its facility here by 30% through the addition of new production equipment. The plant is owned by Sartomer, an Arkema subsidiary.

The resins will be used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards and screens for consumer electronics.

The firm expects sales of advanced materials will eventually make up 25% of its total revenue.
