PITTSBURGH – Ansys reported third quarter GAAP revenue of $275.6 million, up 12% year-over-year.

GAAP net income for the quarter was $73.6 million, an increase of 6% compared to the same period in 2016.

“During the third quarter, we closed 25 seven-figure deals, including a three-year deal of over $45 million, the largest in the company’s history,” said Ajei Gopal, Ansys president and CEO. “Our focus on sales execution has resulted in another quarter of excellent financial performance. Our third quarter success was led by double-digit revenue growth in both North America and Asia-Pacific. We also saw improved performance in Europe, which rose 5% in constant currency. Overall, our results demonstrate the continued progress we are making toward achieving our goal of sustainable, double-digit top line growth by 2020.”

Year to date, Ansys posted revenue of $792.9 million, up 10% year-over-year. Net income was $206.7 million, an increase of 6%.

The firm expects fourth quarter GAAP revenue of $283 million to $292 million. For 2017, Ansys expects GAAP revenue of $1.076 billion to $1.085 billion.
