Component Information Portal (CIP) 5.0 is tightly integrated with Cadence OrCAD Capture CIS and EMA EDABuilder for a complete part search and new part introduction flow including automated symbol creation.

Provides a complete methodology to identify, manage, and define part data inside OrCAD Capture CIS. Is web-based, with integration to component part supplier data from Digikey, Mouser, Farnell, Future, and Arrow. Leverages all the advantages of a shared parts library without incurring the overhead and cost of configuring and managing the database. Previews part symbols from CIP and then place parts directly on the OrCAD Capture CIS schematic canvas. Directly launches EDABuilder to quickly and reliably create new part symbols. Symbols created using this method are then automatically updated and associated with the correct parametric data in CIP.  Defines bill of materials (BoM) templates that can then be applied during BoM report generation.
