NORCROSS, GAT-Tech Inc. has introduced the Precision Flat system for the PCB professional. This system is said to be specifically designed for rapid prototyping applications that require both a precision depth of cut and minimal contact with the material.

According to a news release, the Pneumatic Pressure Foot allows for precision adjustments of depth of cut for your design; provides pneumatic air cushion for minimal contact during milling; and fits on any current or new QC 5000, QC 7000 or QC 9000 models.

"T-Tech's commitment to listening to our customers and constantly improving our product offering has resulted in the introduction of this new component," said John Taylor, president of T-Tech Inc. "The Pneumatic Pressure Foot represents T-Tech's commitment to design engineering professionals. It is another effort to provide PCB Prototype engineers with the speed, accuracy and control of design that is most desirable."

Printing Screens Revisited
Research continues on improving printed frontside silver conductor line efficiency.A simple Internet search will reveal the photovoltaic industry is working hard on higher aspect ratio frontside conductor grids as a route to greater solar cell efficiencies. This is because the conductors, typically screen-printed on a cell’s frontside, block sunlight from reaching the energy converting strata below, and the narrower they are, the less shadow they cast. However, as it is essential they...
