Vectra halogen free liquid crystal polymers now come in high flow, high performance thermoplastics versions. Vectra FIT70, for compact camera modules, and Vectra FIT72, for thin-wall connectors, are 35% glass- and mineral-filled. FIT70 is high flow for thin wall, complex flow paths. Offers dimensional stability over a range of operating temperatures and surface smoothness. Is halogen-free. FIT72 has an improved flow while maintaining mechanical properties, remains flat before and after reflow soldering, has the potential to increase number of cavities per tool, and is halogen-free and lead-free solderable.
