TAOYUAN, TAIWAN -- Panasonic Electronic Devices has completed its factory here, more than doubling its local output for manufacturing ALIVH multilayer printed circuit boards.
The previously announced expansion has capacity of three million sq. ft. per month. Panasonic also expended capacity at its existing plant in New Taipei City, built in 2005, to three million sq. ft. per month. ALIVH, an acronym for Any Layer Interstitial Via Hole, refers to a type of multilayer epoxy-resin HDI board. The company is accelerating global development of its ALIVH business, positioning it as a key device essential for further evolution of mobile devices such as smartphones.
