The chemicals giant's Electronics & Communications business unit revenue was up 53% to $657 million, 48% of which was due to higher volume and 5% to higher selling prices. Growth was seen in all regions, particularly in Asia Pacific, Pretax operating income for the unit was up 88% to $108 million for the period ended June 30.

The business supplies solder masks, flex base materials and conductive inks for printed circuit board fabrication, among other industries.
