GARBSEN, GERMANY – LPKF Laser & Electronics AG will double the production capacities for cutting and structuring lasers here by the end of the first quarter, and boost capacities further in the second quarter. This is to satisfy the demand for laser systems for electronics production in Asia. Since the beginning of last year, the firm has had significant orders for Laser Direct Structuring technology, mainly used for the production of cellphone antennae. LPKF manufactures machines and laser systems used in electronics fabrication, medical technology, automotive, and solar cell production.
