MUNICH, GERMANY and WESTFORD, MA - Zuken has integrated Cadstar PCB Design Software with E3 Series Electro Technical Design Solutions to launch Cadstar E3 Logic. This new product allows users to design PCBs in Cadstar while providing full integration within the software, allowing electrical and electronic engineers to work on the same design in parallel, reducing time-to-market. The product also integrates with specific MRP, ERP and PDM systems. The company claims that design integration at this level saves design process time, allowing initial layout coordination, and minimizes changes in the PCB design process. In a library management perspective, the software uses one database, with parts sets that integrate with product lifecycle and purchasing databases, eliminating redundant processes. The software can also be used as a schematic design option to Cadstar schematic to synchronize the electrical and electronic design processes. Designers can open and modify existing PCB designs, as well as create new designs, with the results viewable as a standard file within the E project structure. The software also integrates electrical design for cables, harnesses and panels. "By integrating Cadstar and E3 series for schematic design, we are able to provide the missing link for companies who seek full integration of the electrical and electronics design process. Typically, makers of telecoms products, machinery and computers will get the most benefit from this type of solution," said Jeroen Leinders, Cadstar Distribution Manager.
