Mentor Purchases Flomerics Group

WILSONVILLE, OH– Mentor Graphics Corporation has finalized the acquisition of Flomerics Group PLC., located in the United Kingdom. The company will become Mentor’s Mechanical Analysis Division. Gary Carter, former CEO of Flomerics, will oversee operations as general manager. The purchase brings Mentor’s product line into the engineering fluid dynamics market (EFD) for CAD analysis. The company hopes to improve its customer base in both mechanical design and electronics cooling markets.

SX45 Stereo Zoom Microscope

Vision Engineering introduces the SX45 stereo zoom microscope. Although it is affordable, it maintains a high level of optical performance. It has a zoom ratio of 6.3:1 and a magnification of x50.

A digital or USB camera can be used simultaneously, and a trinocular viewing attachment is available. Users can choose from numerous standard options, such as the bench stand, the boom mount and the articulated arm.
