YAVNE, ISRAEL- Despite the slump in the global economy and the weak U.S. dollar, Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. experienced an increase in profits for 2008.

The first six months brought revenues of $21.4 million, with a $10.7 million increase for the second quarter—marking a 2% growth over 2007 figures. The second quarter of 2008 saw operating activities bringing a positive cash flow of $5.7 million, an improvement over the negative cash flow of the previous year. Net profits increased a total of 49% compared to the same period in 2007.

During the quarter, Valor, a global provider of productivity improvement software solutions for PCBs, entered into three new OEM agreements with major machine vendors who will sell the company’s products concurrently with their own machines- resulting in an expansion of Valor’s distribution channels.

“We are also in the process of releasing new products for quality management and business intelligence for electronics manufacturing. We see growing demand for solutions in those areas, and we believe that our knowledge and technology can allow us to come out with winning products for those markets,” explains CEO Dan Hoz.
