AUSTIN, TX-- Applied Nanotech Holdings, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Applied Nanotech, Inc. (ANI), established a strategic development program with Optomec, Inc. to further develop copper inks for aerosol jet printing applications.
Optomec manufactures M3D aerosol jet printers for printed electronics for solar, display, electronic packaging and flexible electronics applications. ANI will adapt its copper ink technology to Optomec's patented ultra high resolution printing technology. The combination of ANI's copper ink, and the Optomec printer target the solar, display, flexible circuit and PCB manufacturing markets offering a additive process to deposit high quality, low cost, metal conductors. According to Optomec, the printing solution is able to produce much finer lines than is currently possible with traditional screen printing and inkjet printing equipment. The combined ANI/Optomec copper ink printing solution is expected to provide an alternative to silver inks. |
