INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Old Bridge Metals & Chemicals and Micronutrients has announced that Micronutrients has acquired the fresh alkaline and spent etchant recycling business from Old Bridge Metals & Chemicals.

Old Bridge Metals & Chemicals will cease the manufacturing and the recycling of alkaline etchants for the PCB industry by the third quarter 2008.

Micronutrients will continue to manufacture and supply ammoniacal etchants to the PCB industry and to collect the spent materials at its facility in Indianapolis.

According to a release, this transaction will not affect Old Bridge Metals & Chemicals’ copper sulfate and copper carbonate manufacturing businesses, or their manufacture of inorganic chemicals including zinc sulfate and zinc chloride.
