Cisco seeks a PCB Sourcing Commodity Manager to focus on development and execution of commodity strategy and associated programs. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of business experience, technical knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication and relationship management skills. This position is a great opportunity for someone with technical experience and business acumen to become involved with all levels of business operation-from day-to-day tactical activity to long-term strategy and planning.
Responsibilities to include:
- Provide special knowledge or capability
- Ensure budgets, schedules and program requirements are met
- Responsible for sourcing of all new PCB programs, risk assessment and alternatives
- Define and sets strategic direction
- Contribute to development of commodity strategy
- Oversee the largest, most complex programs consisting of multiple locations and BU's
- Determine manufacturing requirements and specifications; create proposals and works with Manager to finalize agreements
- Resolve large-scale project issues and manages appropriate escalation within Cisco as necessary
Required Skills/Experience:
- Typically requires BA/BS or equivalent plus 6+ years manufacturing experience
- Strong Printed Circuit Board industry knowledge required
- Extensive business strategy knowledge and implementation knowledge
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Previous New Product Introduction experience
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Technical or MS degree preferred
- APICS/NAPM Certification preferred
- Significant and diverse management experience preferred
- Line card experience desired
- Experience with advanced technology cards preferred
