Allied High Tech Products and Carl Zeiss Imaging Systems have released software that automates the image analysis of PCBs. The program uses claimed pixel accuracy to perform measurements on single or multiple images, and is said to provide highly repeatable results. Reported features include automated and interactive modes, several measurements in a single operation, sub-micron accuracy, multi-layer boards capability, minimal operator interface, reproducible results, customized reporting, display of measurements with statistics, and a user-friendly interface. Measurements include copper, dielectric, hole copper and overall thickness.
