TUALATIN, OR - LPKF Laser & Electronics boosted sales
by 6.1 % year-on-year to $66.6 million. EBIT was on target at $9.45 million.
Sales of Rapid Prototyping systems rose by 21.1% to $24.15
million. The Stencil, Inspection Systems and PCB Processing segments
were affected by their high export share outside of the Euro zone and
competition with the Dollar, and failed to match the previous year's
sales levels.
LPKF began selling laser systems for the scribing of
thin-film solar panels at the beginning of 2007, and the segment has experienced strong development, according to the company.
The Board of Managing Directors and the Supervisory Board
has reported that it will propose a resolution at the Annual Meeting to
pay a dividend of 19 cents per share, as in the previous financial year.
The company has reportedly started the 2008 financial year with a 25% year-over-year increase of orders on hand.
