PCB East 2008 Registration is Now Open Print E-mail

SMYRNA, GA – UP Media Group Inc. (UPMG) announced that registration is now open for PCB East 2008, which will be held on May 11-16 at the Holiday Inn Select & Convention Center in Tinley Park, IL.

Located approximately 30 miles from downtown Chicago, Tinley Park is a new location for UPMG's PCB Shows.

The PCB East 2008 conference brochure, which contains a complete list of courses, abstracts and speaker biographies, is available for download at www.pcbeast.com.

The PCB East conference program is comprised of  a Professional Development Ceritifcate Program of in-depth courses, featuring three two-day courses and eight full-day tutorials, and a 3-Day Technical Conference of short courses, featuring 13 two-hour workshops and 20 half-day seminars.

All courses are taught by industry-leading experts. Some of this year's featured conference topics will be high speed, signal integrity, design basics, advanced technologies, materials, RoHS, and business/market issues.

Other PCB East 2008 highlights include:
  • A two-day exhibition
  • A "Free Tuesday" program of free technical sessions and events
  • A Next-Generation EDA Tools Panel Session

CSP/BallNest Socket Provides Consistant Test and Burn-In
Aries Electronics introduces the CSP/BallNest Hybrid Socket for test or burn-in of chip scale package, ball grid array, microBGA, land grid array and prototyping.
 
It can be used on any device having a pitch of 0.30 mm or larger. Features include a lid that nests each ball termination into the socket for a reliable connection and a four-point crown providing scrub on solder oxides.
 
It has a signal path of 0.0777 inches and provides minimal signal loss for higher bandwidth capability. Estimated contact life is 500,000 cycles, and the socket is available in custom materials, sizes, configurations and platings.
