Topoint Expects Growth in IC Substrate Drill Bits |

Topoint Technology
expects shipments of drill bits used for IC substrates to increase in
2008, as a result of the growing demand in the IC substrate market.
The
company reports plans to raise monthly drill bit manufacturing capacity
in both Taiwan and China to 7.5 million units in the second quarter, up
from the current 7.2 million units in Taiwan and below 7 million units
in China.
According
to the company, IC substrate drill bits currently account for 35-40% of
sales, and clients of the company include Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board,
Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Phoenix Precision Technology and
Kinsus Interconnect
