Productronica: Still King of Shows |

MUNICH – The final tally is in, and the numbers reveal Productronica as – still – the world’s largest electronics manufacturing trade show. Some 1,484 exhibitors from 35 countries attended last week’s show.
Traffic was down but still staggering: just over 40,000, according to show organizers, down from 43,113 in 2005, the last year the biennial event was held.
Forty-five percent of attendees came from outside Germany, and 40% of the exhibitors were also from abroad.
The show traffic may have been slowed by a modest transit strike and some mild snow during the week.
The next Productronica takes place Nov. 10 to 13, 2009. |
