VIENNA – PCB maker AT&S today reported a first-half net profit of $30.8 million on revenues of $344.2 million. Revenues were up 4% year-over-year. Operating profit was up 11%.

The ramp of the fourth production line at the company’s Shanghai II site, which will be completed by the end of November, and Shanghai III, which is scheduled to enter production at the start of 2008, will provide further opportunities for growth, says AT&S.

Revenues in the company’s core PCB manufacturing operation compensated for a decline in revenues from its services business, the company reports.

However, the company warned of exposure in the coming months to considerable uncertainties as a result of currency fluctuations.

AT&S employs 6,250 people at its production sites in Austria, India, China and Korea, and its worldwide sales offices.
