COLUMBIA, MO -- 3M will close its flex circuit operations here by June 31 and lay off about 240 employees, according to a published report. Some manufacturing of electronics interconnects and other products will continue at the site, the report said. The factory currently employs close to 500 workers, according to published reports. 3M will move the flexible circuit manufacturing to sites in Singapore and California in hopes of improving its supply chain efficiency, the report said.
