M-Flex Names Beckenbaugh CTO Print E-mail

ANAHEIM, CAMulti-Fineline Electronix, provider of flexible printed circuits and assemblies, named Dr. William Beckenbaugh chief technology officer.

Charles “Bud” Tapscott, who has been with M-Flex since 1994, serving as an executive officer since 2002 and CTO since 2005, will retire but will continue to serve the company as a part-time employee.
 
Dr. Beckenbaugh will be responsible for the company's packaging and flex printed circuit technology base and commercializing M-Flex's technological innovations.
 
Dr. Beckenbaugh has 30 years of senior level leadership as a CEO, CTO and vice president for various companies. Most recently, he was vice president of operations for Akrometrix LLC, and was previously with Hadco, Sanmina-SCI and Motorola, among others.

SX45 Stereo Zoom Microscope
Vision Engineering introduces the SX45 stereo zoom microscope. Although it is affordable, it maintains a high level of optical performance. It has a zoom ratio of 6.3:1 and a magnification of x50.
 
A digital or USB camera can be used simultaneously, and a trinocular viewing attachment is available. Users can choose from numerous standard options, such as the bench stand, the boom mount and the articulated arm. Multimedia solutions are also available for image archiving, acquisition, processing, analysis and documentation.
