PCB Libraries, Samtec Develop Free Libraries Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Monday, 25 June 2007
DES PLAINES, ILPCB Libraries Inc., a CAD library management solutions provider, and Samtec have developed a free library covering Samtec’s connectors in all major CAD formats.

All Samtec parts are created in Allegro, Altium Designer, CADSTAR, CR5000, NI Ultiboard, P-CAD, Pantheon, Pulsonix, Expedition, PADS Layout, Board Station, OrCAD Layout, and Protel.

Connectors can be searched with the free LP Viewer available from PCB Libraries, a scaled-down version of the IPC-7351 LP Calculator and the IPC-7351 LP Wizard. PCB Libraries’ software creates IPC-7351-compliant component land patterns that can be exported in a CAD-neutral format or any major CAD format available.

The library is available from the companies respective websites at www.pcblibraries.com/samtec or www.samtec.com/cablibrary
