WILSONVILLE, OR – Mentor Graphics Corp. today announced that it is enabling Silicon Valley Technical Institute (SVTI) to develop and offer a broad range of continuing education courses based on Mentor’s tools in the areas of design for manufacturability (DFM), nanometer IC design, physical verification and integrated systems design.
Working within the strategy of Mentor’s Higher Education Program, SVTI has incorporated Mentor tools in courses ranging from nanometer IC design and DFM to design of digital VLSI design and PCBs. Courses range from one-day workshops to three-month in-class courses that include labs. Initial class sessions have trained over 50 engineering professionals.
In addition, SVTI is currently working with Mentor to develop additional training programs based on Mentor tools that support such areas as advanced functional verification and IC layout and verification.
“Mentor Graphics tools are deployed in critical design steps and flows addressed by SVTI training programs,” said Dr. Ali Iranmanesh, chairman and founder, SVTI. “Mentor Graphics tools enable our students to obtain the sought-after skills needed to be productive and current in today’s fast moving electronics industry.”
