PITTSBURGH, April 5 -- Ansoft Corp. today
announced the DesignerSI design environment for system-level
signal-integrity from ICs to packages to boards. Ansoft will begin
shipping the package in the second quarter.
DesignerSI integrates Ansoft's Nexxim, HFSS and Q3D Extractor tools,
providing co-design and verification in a single environment. It is
said to predict performance of high-speed systems for optical networks,
gigabit computers and communication backplanes.
DesignerSI includes a design capture interface (via schematic or
netlist), optimization and tuning, post-processing and system-level
simulation for key signal-integrity metrics including TDR (time-domain
reflectometry), BER (bit error rate) and eye diagrams.
Features include:
- Design environment with project manager, component libraries, message manager
- Full schematic editor
- Frequency- and time-domain system simulator
- Optimetrics (optimization, tuning and swept parametric analysis) Component library of behavioral and electrical models
- Co-simulation with Nexxim circuit simulator
- Dynamic parameterized links to HFSS 3D EM simulator and Q3D Extractor 3D quasi-static simulator
- IBIS model support
- SPICE netlist import wizard
- HSpice® compatibility
- W-element
- S-parameter support.
